A Good Man Is Hard to Find

Boy, isn't that true! A good book is not always as hard to find. May's information is as follows:

Hostess: Mary Jane

Book Selector: Jane

May Also-Rans

Two short story collections we did not decide to read this month were:

Wilderness Tips,
by Margaret Atwood
and
Winesburg, Ohio,

April Also-Also-Rans

Since our theme was choosing an Also-Ran this month, does that make these two books also-also-rans? (Good enough to bring around a second time, I say!)

Animal Dreams
by Barbara Kingsolver

and

Fall On Your Knees,
by Ann-Marie MacDonald

A New Year

Wow! We're entering into the 17th year of this Book Club. For those of us who are newer to the club, we sure appreciate those who began it back in 1992, and who have kept it going all these years.

A couple of housekeeping issues - the hostess/selector list has been updated. Please check my work, make sure I've got you in the month you wanted for both hosting and bringing books.

Also, it sure would be handy to have people's addresses on the list, for people like me who keep forgetting them. If you would be so kind, please enter your address on the schedule. While you're there, please check your phone number as well. (As a reminder, this list is unavailable to the public, even though the blog itself is public.)

Thanks, and Happy New Year!
